Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data NeoMeme collects, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French law.
Data controller: the publisher of NeoMeme identified in the Legal notice. Contact for any privacy question: neomeme.app@gmail.com.
1. Data we collect
- Account: email address, password (stored encrypted by our provider, we never see it), username, account creation date, confirmation that you are 18 or older and that you accepted the Terms.
- Profile (optional): display name, bio, profile photo.
- Content: posts, images, comments, reposts, channel messages and anything else you publish.
- Activity: likes, follows, reposts, channel memberships and requests, invite links you create or use, blocks, reports you send, language and notification settings.
- Watchlist: the coins you add to your watchlist and the price alerts we send you about them (every ×2 and every −50%).
- Device settings: the country and region, time zone and language set on your phone, and whether you use iPhone or Android. We use them to answer support requests and understand where our users are. This is not GPS location. On iPhone we also read the country of your App Store account (not your location) to know which payment options the App Store rules allow us to show.
- Support messages: what you write in "Contact us", with your username, the topic, your device model, your country and your last payment, so we can help you. When you request creator access, the contact details you choose to give us (X account, Telegram or WhatsApp, email) and what you tell us about yourself, so we can review your request and answer you.
- Creator status: whether you are a creator and how you obtained it (for example the invitation code used).
- Technical data: IP address, device and app information and connection logs, processed by our hosting provider for security and to run the Service.
- Wallets and payments (optional): the public address of wallets you verify or pay with, their public on-chain history used to compute account reliability, and your purchases (item, amount, token, transaction signature, date).
- Profiles elsewhere (optional): links to your profiles on other platforms (X, FOMO, Pump.fun, Telegram), which of them you choose to show, and the audience size you declare.
We do not collect your precise (GPS) location, your contacts, your wallet private keys or seed phrase, or any payment card data.
2. Why we use it and legal basis
- To create and run your account and provide the Service (feed, profiles, follows, channels): performance of our contract with you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the platform safe: blocking scams and spam, handling reports, moderation, preventing abuse of invitation codes: our legitimate interest in a safe service, and our legal obligations as a hosting service (art. 6(1)(f) and (c)).
- To process your purchases and unlock what you paid for, and to keep accounting records: contract and legal obligation.
- To understand who joins NeoMeme (for example to welcome well-known traders): we look at your verified wallets' public activity and the follower counts publicly available on the links you add. This is our legitimate interest; you can object at any time by removing your links.
- To answer your requests and support messages: contract and legitimate interest.
- To comply with the law and respond to valid requests from authorities: legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)).
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell or rent your data.
3. What is public
Your username, display name, bio, profile photo, posts, reposts, follower and following counts are public, including to people without an account. Messages in private channels are only visible to their members. Comments are visible to everyone who can see the post.
Other users can see that people they follow are members of a channel or follow an account ("Followed by…").
Links to your other profiles are only shown if you switch them on. Blockchain transactions are public by nature: anyone can see a payment on the Solana blockchain.
4. Who receives your data
- Supabase (Supabase Pte. Ltd., Singapore, running on Amazon Web Services in the United States, us-east-1 region): database, authentication, file storage and hosting of the Service.
- Apple and Google: distribution of the app through their stores, under their own privacy policies.
- Expo (650 Industries, Inc., United States): tools used to build and update the app.
- Netlify, Inc. (United States): hosting of the public website (no account data).
- Telegram: internal alerts sent to the NeoMeme team (new creators, payments received, promotions, support messages with the details listed in section 1, and notable accounts with the links they added).
- Solana network and public data providers (Solana RPC, Jupiter, DexScreener, GeckoTerminal, CoinGecko, Pump.fun): to build and verify payments and read public prices and wallet activity. Only public addresses are sent.
- Authorities, when required by law.
These providers act on our instructions and are bound by data protection agreements.
5. Transfers outside the EU
Your data is stored in the United States. These transfers are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the provider is certified, by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards at neomeme.app@gmail.com.
6. How long we keep it
- Account, profile, content and activity: until you delete them or delete your account.
- After account deletion: everything is erased immediately from the live database. Residual copies in technical backups are overwritten within a short period (usually a few days).
- Reports and moderation decisions: up to 1 year, or longer if needed for a legal claim.
- Purchase records: 10 years, as required by French accounting law.
- Connection logs: for the limited period kept by our hosting provider, and at most 1 year as required by French law for hosting services.
7. Your rights
You can at any time: access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, restrict or object to its use, and give instructions about what happens to your data after your death.
Most of this is available directly in the app (Edit profile, Settings, Delete account). For anything else, write to neomeme.app@gmail.com. We answer within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL, www.cnil.fr) or with the authority of your country.
8. Security
Access to data is restricted by strict database rules (each user can only read and change what they are allowed to), connections are encrypted, and passwords are never stored in readable form. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
9. Age
NeoMeme is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor uses NeoMeme, tell us at neomeme.app@gmail.com and we will delete the account.
10. Cookies and tracking
The app uses no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers and no analytics SDK. It stores a few settings on your device (for example your language and your login session) which are strictly necessary for the app to work. The website uses no cookies.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. If the change is important, we will tell you in the app. The date of the last update is shown at the top.
